Workshop notes

• We plan to have tutorials before the workshop that may be especially useful for researchers (bioinformaticians, biologists with some IT skills, and computer scientists interested in life sciences topics) that intend to enter the domain of wiki systems.

• We plan to start with technology sessions where the accent is put on wiki systems from a technological and organizational point of view, without entering into details of existing systems or applications.

• We would then have a series of application sessions devoted to existing and perspective wikis in various life sciences domains.

• Each session should include one or two keynote lectures, some oral communications selected from submissions from participants, and a final discussion.

• We plan to have a poster session and a software demonstration session, if enough proposals arise.

• We plan to leave space for as much discussion as possible.

• We plan to make a special issue and/or a review paper on BioWikis.
